We all know it is great to drink water, we have people tell us all the time that we should drink a certain amount of water a day. This is for those who maybe don’t like the taste of water, those who love drinking water but want a bit more out of it, or even those who are starting to try and be extra healthy.

For those who don’t want to buy a new water bottle or maybe you don’t live in the USA and you don’t really want to pay the extra shipping. You can either use any plastic bottle. This might not work as well and you may end up drinking seeds from fruit (but it’s an alternative) You can also search online for a detox water bottle that is a little cheaper.
Anyways this is what I do on a daily basis (or try to do). I first cut up a couple of slices of lemon, lime and orange (sometimes I add mint too). You can use other fruits, I have been loving strawberries and kiwi at the moment. Here are two examples.
Oranges– They contain flavonoids in the peel and juice that stimulate the immune system and protects against a fungi/pests while helping to reduce cholesterol levels.
Lime– Lime juice actually helps stimulate and regulate the digestive track, so it’s helpful with constipation, heartburn and gas.
Lemon– provides the cleansing effect of citric acid to help clear out the digestive system
Mint– helps the body digest more easily and it also soothes any stomach cramps you may have.
Bare in mind that the more you refill your jug, glass or bottle with the same fruits, the more diluted and less nutrient-dense the fruit becomes. I recommend that after 2 or 3 refills, bin it and replace with fresh cuts of fruit to make sure you get all the vitamins and minerals you need. I also wouldn’t recommend leaving the fruits in there for more than 24 hrs before changing it.
Drinking water is beneficial to not just your body and mind but it also lightens your mood. Try it and find out!
